Next Iron Chef: Indian food knocks out Trevino + Appelman

November 3, 2009November 3, 2009 admin

A double shocker in a double elimination round. First, Chef Appelman, a favorite who won the 1st challenge with his Indian dish and was never in the bottom 2 before, got booted in the 2nd. Second, Chef Mehta, who is Indian, didn’t win either challenge, even though the competition involved Indian food. He did survive to next week, at least!

Chicken + Waffles @ Fiddlehead Cafe in Chicago

Just had this amazing brunch at Fiddlehead Cafe in Chicago (Lincoln Square) consisting of chicken and waffles, topped with Canadian bacon! I was skeptical of the idea of chicken and waffles, but now am a total convert. The combination of salt and sweet was so tasty. The texture of the waffles so light and fluffy, while the chicken was tender and juicy. Yum, yum.
