Resident Foodies say: Chef Chuck Hughes got the boot this week on the Next Iron Chef.

Chef Robert Irvine (of Dinner Impossible and Restaurant Impossible) got a quick boot from the Next Iron Chef in Episode 2.

Congrats to Chef Garces for winning the Next Iron Chef. He’s the 1st Latino chef to become an Iron Chef, and he consistently had the best dishes during the competitions. We’re very happy for him!

Only Chefs Mehta and Garces remain. That guarantees at least a minority on the Iron Chef. Still no more women.

A double shocker in a double elimination round. First, Chef Appelman, a favorite who won the 1st challenge with his Indian dish and was never in the bottom 2 before, got booted in the 2nd. Second, Chef Mehta, who is Indian, didn’t win either challenge, even though the competition involved Indian food. He did survive to next week, at least!
